Bike track

Interest in a kids mountain bike track in our local area

When team sports stopped and public pools closed etc. during COVID-19 restrictions, many people (re) discovered bike riding. While in lockdown our local kids, through their own initiative, cleared areas of invasive weeds to create bike paths (these temporary bike tracks are now closed).

Families have approached me to discuss the possibility of creating a recreational mountain bike facility. Very few of these types of tracks exist in our Local Government Area.

I’ve spoken to Bushcare groups who, rightly, are keen to protect our bushland environments.

I’m having discussions with Council to explore the possibility of creating a Boronia Park type bike facility. The image above is the Boronia Park track design (sourced from Hunter’s Hill Council website).
